1:47 What does Dr. Berg eat?
8:55 Bulletproof your immune system *free course!

In this video, I'm going to go through what I typically eat on a given day. It's really nothing too exciting because unlike many people I can eat the same thing every single day. Other people need variety, and that's fine. This is just what I eat, but you can eat whatever you want as long as it's keto-friendly.

Currently, I eat one and a half meals per day. I would normally eat one meal a day, but when if I do that, I tend to lose too much weight. I also have a more difficult time fitting all of the calories I need into one meal.

I have my first meal between 1-2 pm. I have my second meal between 5-6 pm. This gives me a fasting range between 19-21 hours.

Keto vs. Healthy keto:
Keto —
A low-carb diet that doesn't focus on nutrition. There are benefits when you lower your carbs.

Healthy Keto —
A low-carb diet that factors in nutrient-dense foods. I think a Healthy Keto diet with intermittent fasting is the best way to go.

What Dr. Berg eats:
First meal — Mostly a combination of protein and fat with some vegetables (not too much)
A few different combinations I like:
• 4 eggs with onions and fermented vegetables (without sugar) or raw asparagus
• Grass-fed, grass-finished, fatty hamburger (.5Ib) and sauerkraut
• Organic summer sausage (8 oz.) with organic grass-fed Swiss cheese
• Salmon (8 oz.) fried with olive oil, topped with sea salt, black pepper, and mayo (Primal Kitchen) with olives on the side
• A handful of pecans after the meal (if unsatisfied)
• Celery and organic valencia salted peanut butter after the meal (if unsatisfied)
• Sugar-free chocolate occasionally after the meal (if unsatisfied)

Second meal — Primarily vegetables with a small amount of protein and fat.
A few different combinations I like:
• 8 cups of salad (arugula or greens mix from the farmer's market, olive oil, balsamic vinaigrette, sea salt, and avocado or nuts)
• 3 1/2 cups of chopped white and red cabbage and carrots, topped with mayo (Primal Kitchen)
• 4 cups steamed cauliflower with butter, sea salt, and black pepper
Things I may add to my second meal:
• 1/2 can cod liver
• Summer sausage (4 oz.)
• Pecans
• Celery and organic valencia salted peanut butter

I fry my eggs in beef tallow, and I try to get my greens from the farmer's market. If I buy greens from the store, they have to be organic. I also consume a lot of organic tomatoes from the farmer's market or my garden when they're in season.

Yes, iodine is important for the thyroid, but let’s talk about the unexpected benefits of iodine for the rest of the body.

0:00 Introduction: Iodine explained
0:10 Do we need iodine?
1:37 How to tell if you’re deficient in iodine
3:12 Iodine benefits
6:05 Check out this comprehensive video on iodine!

Today I will cover the unexpected benefits of iodine. Iodine is a trace mineral. You don’t need a lot of iodine, but it is still very important for your health. If you don’t have the right amount of iodine, many different health issues can occur.

Every single cell in the body needs iodine. In my opinion, the daily recommended amounts for iodine are way too low. Unless you consume foods from the ocean, you’re not going to get very much iodine from your food.

The body utilizes iodine for many different things, including the detoxification of mercury, lead, fluoride, and bromide.

Unexpected health benefits of iodine:
1. It can help shrink cysts
2. It can help reduce the size of skin tags and warts
3. It can help break down the connective tissue in a condition called Dupuytren’s contracture
4. It supports scar regeneration
5. It can help lessen depression
6. It can help shrink stones in the parotid glands
7. It can help reduce hot flashes and heavy menstrual cycles by balancing estrogen
8. It can help reduce cystic acne

5:12 #4 Drinking while eating
6:10 #5 Drinking cold water
6:40 #6 Drinking tap water
7:23 Check out my video on how water affects your skin!

6 common mistakes people make while drinking water:
1. Drinking too much water
Drink water when you're thirsty. Drinking too much water can even cause dehydration. If you are prone to kidney stones, drink at least 2.5 liters of fluid a day. Different factors determine how much water you need, but it's important not to have too much.

2. Drinking water too quickly
When you drink water too fast, it can create swelling.

3. Drinking the wrong fluids
Not all fluids hydrate you. Some can even dehydrate you.

4. Drinking while eating
This can weaken your ability to digest foods, especially protein, and could lead to GERD or acid reflux. If you drink while eating, don't overdo it. It may be better to have something to drink 30 minutes before or after a meal.

5. Drinking cold water
Drinking large amounts of very cold water may inhibit the vagus nerve, which is responsible for digestion. This may be more of an issue for those who already have digestive issues.

6. Drinking tap water
There are chemicals and very small plastics in tap water that are not safe for the body. Get a good water filter to filter that out.

0:00 Introduction: What is dental plaque?
1:12 How to prevent dental plaque
2:05 The top remedy for tartar
5:55 Check out my video on vitamin K2!

Today, I will share how to get rid of tartar. Tartar is dental plaque. But, what we’re really dealing with are biofilms.

Biofilms are like little calcium houses for bacteria. An overabundance of biofilms can cause bad breath, receding gums, and inflammation.

If you chew gum, it’s best to chew gum that contains xylitol because xylitol has antibiofilm properties.

There also seems to be a positive correlation between vitamin K2 and inhibiting dental plaque. So, you may want to start taking vitamin K2.

Natural herbs that help prevent dental plaque:
• Rosemary
• Clove
• Thyme
• Garlic
• Curcumin
• Oregano
• Cinnamon
• NAC

The top remedy for tartar:
Ingredients:
1/4 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp hydrogen peroxide (3%)
1/2 cup water

Mix the baking soda and the hydrogen peroxide in the water. Then, use your toothbrush to brush your teeth with this mixture. Do this after you brush your teeth with toothpaste.

These are the best natural remedies for candida—get rid of it and make sure it never comes back!

DATA:
https://www.nature.com/articles/nature.2014.16081

0:00 Introduction: Cure candida for good
0:15 What is candida?
1:20 What causes candida overgrowth?
1:40 Information on antibiotics
4:13 Candida symptoms
5:05 How does candida thrive?
7:18 Home remedies for candida
8:45 Check out my video on friendly bacteria!

Today I want to share the best natural remedies for candida and how to prevent candida.

Candida is a type of yeast or fungus. It's normal to have some amount of candida living on your body. Problems don't occur until candida starts to overgrow.

Bacteria keep candida under control. If you don't have enough friendly bacteria, candida can start to overgrow. The biggest cause of candida overgrowth is antibiotics. Antibiotics wipe out good bacteria, leaving you with nothing to counter candida.

Candida overgrowth symptoms:
1. Cravings for sugar and carbs
2. Itchiness
3. A white tongue
4. Fatigue
5. A UTI (urinary tract infection)
6. Bloating and digestive issues
7. Sinus congestion
8. Skin issues
9. Achy joints
10. Ammonia breath

Candida hates living in an acidic environment and thrives in an alkaline environment. When you kill your microbes, your pH changes, and you become more alkaline.

Candida lives on sugar, and when it eats sugar, it creates ammonia. Ammonia is also alkaline. This creates a fantastic environment for candida to thrive.

Other things that will make you more alkaline:
• Consuming sugar
• Stress
• Birth control pills
• Pregnancy
• Antacids

How to get rid of candida and prevent it from coming back:
1. Run your body on ketones (go on keto and do intermittent fasting)
2. Take a probiotic
3. Consume fermented vegetables
4. Use oregano oil
5. Take apple cider vinegar
6. Use coconut oil (or MCT oil)

You can burn fat for extreme weight loss, even with slow metabolism or other conditions that typically slow weight loss.

Timestamps:
0:00 How to burn fat despite having a slow metabolism (or other conditions that slow weight loss)
3:56 I touch on the condition called insulin resistance which is behind a weight plateau
6:19 I list excellent protein sources along with ones to avoid
14:20 Let’s talk about fat; good sources and the amounts to eat

In this webinar I’m going to talk about extreme weight loss: how to burn fat despite having a slow metabolism, plateauing in your weight loss, in menopause, or hypothyroid for example. Or if you just want to lose weight really quick. If you understand these principles you can lose as much weight as you want.

What I’m going to explain is a bit extreme but it’s also healthy. Be sure to check out my slides in this video for the complete details. You may want to take notes.

First, carbs and ketosis, which is fat burning. You need this to lose weight. Bring your carbs as close to zero per day as possible. But not quite zero since I recommend lemon juice, eggs, seeds, and leafy vegetables which all contain a small amount of carbs. Check the slide to see what to avoid.

Insulin resistance is behind a weight plateau. Your body doesn’t absorb insulin well, so too much builds up and you can’t lose weight. Dropping carbs and feeding microbes in your gut will correct insulin resistance. I recommend consuming 7-10 cups of vegetables a day but if you bloat, cut back then gradually increase.

The microbes will produce butyrate, which will help with insulin resistance. This is key!

The keto diet is a moderate-protein diet. Consume your fat with your protein, about 3-6 ounces per meal. You may need more if you’re larger. You need quality protein to build and repair muscles.

Fatty acids are also essential for your health. Again, check out my slides in this video webinar for complete information about good food sources of fatty acids.

I want you to consume foods that supply nutrients, including trace minerals. When possible, eat organic and grass-fed products including dairy if you consume it. For now, though, I recommend avoiding dairy which can slow down weight loss and cause inflammation. As well as nuts, which can cause digestive issues.

If your weight loss is stuck, keep your fat intake at 75 grams or less. See the slide for more details.

Be sure to watch the entire webinar to discover the rest of the principles you can put into effect in order to burn fat in a way to promote extreme weight loss.

0:30 How this remedy for high blood pressure works
3:00 Hibiscus tea for high blood pressure
4:40 Other benefits of hibiscus tea
5:08 How to use hibiscus tea for high blood pressure

Today I want to share a simple remedy for high blood pressure. It’s important to figure out the root cause of your high blood pressure and fix that issue. But, in the meantime, hibiscus tea is a fantastic natural remedy for high blood pressure that has virtually no side effects.

Different studies on hibiscus tea have reported significant blood pressure lowering effects in both systolic and diastolic blood pressure. Some studies suggest it may be almost as effective or just as effective as certain blood pressure medications.

Hibiscus tea may have a slight diuretic effect, but it doesn’t reduce potassium. It can also help lower triglycerides and LDL cholesterol.

The pigments in hibiscus flowers are composed of a certain phytonutrient that acts as a natural ACE inhibitor. Many different blood pressure medications are ACE inhibitors.

Try drinking hibiscus tea for about six weeks to see the full effect. You may also want to focus on getting your vitamin D and potassium levels higher. Just be sure to check with your doctor before drinking hibiscus tea if you take a diuretic.

Other benefits of hibiscus tea:
• Studies suggest it may help inhibit gastric cancer by up to 52%.
• Studies have shown that the phytonutrients in hibiscus tea have antimicrobial properties that may be as effective as certain antibiotics and more effective than penicillin.
• One study showed that it may help you decrease fat on your liver.

KEFIR WEBSITE HERE: https://www.happyherbalist.com

Find out how this simple remedy can help you sleep better.

DATA:
https://journals.plos.org/plos....one/article?id=10.13
https://www.ffhdj.com/index.ph....p/ffhd/article/view/
https://www.happyherbalist.com/kefir-live-grains-milk-kefir/

0:00 Introduction: The best natural remedy for sleep
0:20 What is kefir?
1:27 Kefir benefits
1:45 Kefir for better sleep
3:55 The best type of kefir to consume
4:30 How to make kefir
5:40 Check out my video on other things that help promote sleep!

Sleep is so important, and I believe this remedy will help you get the sleep you need. The best natural remedy for sleep is kefir. Consume 1/2 cup of kefir before bed for better sleep.

Kefir is similar to yogurt, but it’s better. It has more healthy, diverse microbes than yogurt. Many of these friendly microbes also survive your stomach acids, whereas the microbes in yogurt don’t.

Kefir not only has friendly bacteria but friendly yeast, too. This combination is essential. People with lactose intolerance also have an easier time digesting kefir than yogurt.

Health benefits of kefir:
• Decreased liver fat
• Fewer allergy symptoms
• Improved immune system
• Decreased inflammation
• Less constipation
• Better blood sugar
• Better blood pressure
• Decreased pathogens

Certain microbes make serotonin. The more of the right microbes you have, the more serotonin you’ll have. Serotonin is a hormone that can positively affect your mood and reduce stress.

Kefir provides microbes that make melatonin, which is a sleep hormone. Not only that, but kefir contains microbes that make the amino acid tryptophan. Tryptophan turns into serotonin and then melatonin.

Kefir is a good source of bioavailable calcium, which can help you get to sleep and stay asleep. The microbes in kefir also make certain B vitamins, which can greatly help with stress and calm a busy mind. The lactobacillus in kefir helps reduce cortisol, which will also help you sleep better.

I highly recommend making your own kefir. You need something called kefir live grains (there is no grain in it) to get started.

I like using goat milk, but you can use cow milk. The website I use to buy my kefir grains (happyherbalist.com) explains exactly how to make kefir.

Basically, you add 1 Tbsp of the kefir grains to 1 to 2 cups of milk. Then, you set it on the counter and cover it using a cloth or paper towel and a rubber band. After 24 hours, you’ll have kefir.

Find out what the most important nutrient is to support a healthy prostate. Check out Dr. Berg's Trace Minerals Enhanced Here: 🛒 https://drbrg.co/3KWu2zQ

DATA:

0:00 Introduction: How to support your prostate
0:40 What is the prostate?
2:13 What does the prostate do?
3:45 The relation between zinc and the prostate
6:06 The most important nutrient for the prostate
6:20 What causes a zinc deficiency?
8:22 What is the best source of zinc?
8:55 Check out my video on zinc!

Let’s talk about the most important nutrient to support a healthy prostate.

An enlarged prostate can affect urination and libido. The more the prostate enlarges, the higher your risk is for prostate cancer. But, just because the prostate enlarges doesn’t mean you have cancer.

There is a powerful form of testosterone in the body called DHT. Testosterone can convert to DHT with a specific enzyme. Certain medications inhibit this enzyme to reduce DHT and help with male pattern baldness, prostate hypertrophy, and erectile dysfunction. But, zinc is actually a natural inhibitor of this enzyme.

Zinc is the most important nutrient to support a high testosterone level, sperm fertility, and a healthy prostate.

A zinc deficiency could lead to an enlarged prostate gland, inflammation of the prostate gland, and an increased risk of prostate cancer. A zinc deficiency can also affect your libido, testosterone, sperm count, and urine flow.

Causes of a zinc deficiency:
• Not consuming enough red meat
• Low stomach acid
• Certain medications (antacids, diuretics, statins)
• Alcohol
• Sugar consumption
• Frequent meals

Foods high in zinc:
1. Shellfish
2. Red meat

You could also take a zinc supplement. I have a great product called Trace Minerals Enhanced, that’s loaded with zinc and the other trace minerals you need.

However, zinc alone will not act as a cure for an enlarged prostate or other medical conditions because there are many other factors involved. One of these factors is your diet. To learn more about the diet you should be on, check out my videos on Healthy Keto and intermittent fasting.

0:40 What are blackheads?
3:13 What causes blackheads?
6:30 How to get rid of blackheads naturally
8:40 Check out my video on omega-6 fats!

Today I will share how to get rid of blackheads naturally. I also want to help you understand the root cause of blackheads.

I’m not going to give you typical tips on removing blackheads using external things like pore strips. Instead, we’re going to fix this problem from the inside out.

What we’re dealing with is a clogged hair follicle, as well as a problem with the sebaceous gland (oil gland).

A big mistake is doing things like over-cleansing the skin and using pore strips. These things actually make the problem worse by removing friendly bacteria that are there to help protect you against bad bacteria.

The root cause of blackheads is a spike in androgens caused by a spike in insulin and IGF-1.

The top 3 triggers of a spike in insulin and IGF-1:
• Refined carbs
• Dairy
• Fat (omega-6 fatty acids)

How to get rid of blackheads permanently:
1. Go on a low-carb diet (Healthy Keto)
2. Cut out dairy from your diet
3. Decrease omega-6 fatty acids and increase omega-3 fatty acids
4. Take borage oil

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/p....mc/articles/PMC33101

Today, I’m going to share the best way to get rid of belly fat. When you have a fatty liver, the fat can accumulate so much that it spills off into the abdominal cavity, causing belly fat.

We really need to target the cause of a fatty liver, which is too much insulin. Reducing insulin will help you burn fat, especially in the mid-section.

Things like metformin and gastric bypass may help you lose weight because they help you drop insulin. But, there are healthier and more natural ways to decrease your insulin and lose weight fast.

The best ways to lose belly fat fast:
1. Go on a low-carb diet
2. Do intermittent fasting
3. Do core exercises
4. Consume fiber (greens)
5. Take berberine
6. Drink apple cider vinegar (1 tbsp. in a glass of water 2-3x per day)
7. Lower your stress
8. Get good sleep

The best exercises to burn belly fat:
1. Sitting toe touches
2. Bicycle crunches
3. Burpees
4. The boat pose
5. The forward plank

4. Vitamins D, K2, and F
• Vitamin D supports calcium absorption
• Vitamin K2 transports calcium to the teeth
• Vitamin F helps push calcium into the tissues

Of all of the foods you should avoid for healthy teeth and gums, sugar is at the top of the list. The best foods for your teeth and gums will contain the above vitamins.

The two best foods for your teeth and gums:
1. Grass-fed, organic butter or ghee
2. Cod liver oil or cod liver

Other great foods for your teeth and gums are eggs and leafy greens. Probiotic foods like fermented vegetables are also fantastic for supporting your teeth and gums.

Fermented vegetables contain vitamins C and K2, and they feed your microbiome, which makes B vitamins. You can also get B vitamins from nutritional yeast.

One of the best things you can do for your oral health is to go on the keto diet. For more information on keto and fasting, check out my other videos.

3:26 A deeper look at treatments
5:07 The root cause of chronic phlegm
6:00 Why you need hydrochloric acid
10:05 How to increase stomach acid
14:13 Check out my video on hydrochloric acid

Let’s look at what really causes chronic phlegm and what you can do about it.

Chronic mucus production in your throat can worsen at night, and you may notice other symptoms such as:
• Postnasal drip
• Chronic cough
• Hoarseness
• A sensation of a lump in your throat
• A sore throat without an infection

An allergy or virus could cause chronic mucus production. However, there is a more likely cause that’s related to two other symptoms, GERD and LPR. Both of these conditions are typically treated with antacids or other medications that suppress stomach acid.

If you have chronic mucus in your throat, you want to ask yourself if you have any symptoms related to GERD or LPR. But, the big problem is that some of the treatments for these conditions can come with many side effects—they may even aggravate the condition. The optimum solution should not give you a bigger problem than you started with.

It’s my view that low hydrochloric acid (stomach acid) is the most likely cause of GERD or LPR, which can lead to chronic phlegm. Hydrochloric acid is a very important fluid for many different bodily functions.

Instead of suppressing the symptom (chronic phlegm), we need to look at what we can do for the root cause (low hydrochloric acid).

How to help increase hydrochloric acid:
• Take betaine hydrochloride
• Stop consuming grains and grain-fed animal products
• Do intermittent fasting
• Avoid a typical vegan diet
• Avoid omega-6 fatty acids
• Consume more omega-3 fatty acids

Today we’re going to talk about how to get rid of cellulite.

Cellulite only occurs in the butt, thighs, and hips. Cellulite worsens with pregnancy, hormone replacement therapy, and menopause.

With cellulite, the collagen bands are partially or entirely dissolved. There are also a few other things that could be going on, including:
• Enlarged fat cells
• Thin skin
• Circulation loss
• Fluid retention
• Back up of the lymphatic system
• Atrophy of the muscles underneath

Overall, cellulite is not a fat disorder—it’s a collagen disorder caused by excess estrogen. Two main things are going on:
1. Excess estrogen that destroys collagen fibers and elastin.
2. Excess aromatase that destroys the fibroblasts that make collagen under the skin.

Collagen is a byproduct of a hormonal problem, mainly to do with estrogen. But, other things could be involved too, such as:
• Too much cortisol
• Loss of growth hormone
• Too much insulin
• Loss of melatonin
• Deficiency in DHEA

How to get rid of cellulite:
1. Fix the atrophy problem
• Do lunges
• Do squats
• Start retro walking
• Try sprinting

2. Fix the circulation problem
• Do rebound exercises
• Do red light therapy
• Use a dry brush on your skin
• Get a massage on the area regularly

3. Fix the collagen problem
• Do intermittent and prolonged fasting
• Use an aromatase inhibitor cream (massage onto the area before bed)

Mistakes to avoid:
• Going too fast when you exercise
• Working out over soreness
• Not creating enough stimulus for the muscles
• Getting poor sleep
• Not giving it enough time

12:45 Tip #14 - Avoid hidden ingredients
15:22 Tip #15 - Look for this sign of keto-adaptation
15:55 Tip #16 - Something is better than nothing

In this video, I’m going to share some of my best tips and tricks for Healthy Keto and intermittent fasting.

Tip #1 - Have MCT oil in your coffee every morning to reduce hunger and cravings. Start with one tablespoon.

Tip #2 - Blend one whole lemon in water. This provides a boost of vitamin C and phytonutrients. Add stevia or electrolyte powder to enhance the flavor and nutrients.

Tip #3 - Have one tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water in the afternoon. This helps improve insulin sensitivity and energy.

Tip #4 - Have a large salad before each meal to help you achieve 7 to 10 cups of vegetables a day.

Tip #5 - Add non-fortified nutritional yeast flakes to your salad and other foods to replenish your B vitamins, reduce stress, and enhance flavor.

Tip #6 - Replenish electrolytes and B vitamins to prevent keto flu symptoms.

Tip #7 - Have 3 to 6 oz of protein per meal. You can have up to 8 oz if you exercise and have a great metabolism.

Tip #8 - Add additional fat to the end of your meal to increase your fasting window and reduce cravings.

Tip #9 - Increase the quality of your foods. Always choose organic, grass-fed, pasture-raised, and wild-caught products—they contain more nutrients. Avoid processed foods.

Tip #10 - Use herbal tea to help you fast longer.

Tip #11 - Don’t snack—especially after dinner and during your fasting window. Never keep snack foods in your home.

Tip #12 - Get quality sleep. Poor sleep increases cortisol, hunger, and cravings. Exercise and sun exposure during the day will increase melatonin at night. Vitamin B1 and 10,000 IU of vitamin D will also help improve your sleep.

Tip #13 - Replenish your electrolytes after exercise with sea salt, vegetables, and electrolyte powder.

Tip #14 - Check all products for hidden ingredients, like unhealthy artificial sweeteners, sugar, maltodextrin, and carbs.

Tip #15 - If your appetite is gone, you know it’s working.

Tip #16 - Something is better than nothing. Do dirty keto and work your way up to Healthy Keto if you need.
