Dr. Alyn Waller Preaching from the Subject " I Put It All In His Hands " from Psalm 121

Psalm 121 Scripture KJV
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.

2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.

6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.

7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.

8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Dr Craig Oliver preaching a powerful message about " Breaking the Holding Pattern " in our life. God has too much store in for us to be held back from things in our lives

Craig Oliver Sermons
Craig Oliver Preaching

As Senior Pastor of Elizabeth Baptist Church, Dr. Craig L. Dr. Oliver’s 24 years of ministry have been anointed by God and personifies Ephesians 3:20 - “Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us”. Since receiving and accepting his calling at the young age of 16 and becoming pastor of Elizabeth Baptist Church at the age of 21, Dr. Craig L. Oliver, Sr. has seen the hand of God expand His church by over 16,000 members and five locations within the Metro Atlanta area. Under his leadership, the church has completed mission work within the local Atlanta community and abroad in over six countries with more on the horizon. Dr. Oliver carefully marries the tradition of sound preaching with the understanding that as Jesus met those in need where they were, so should we.

Though this dynamic man of God has received a myriad of accolades and has a multitude of degrees, including Master of Arts Degrees in Biblical/Theological Studies and Leadership from Luther Rice Theological Seminary, and a Doctorate Degree from Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary, he delivers practical points at six weekly services, knowing that the best sermon ever heard is the last one that is actually put into practice.

Final sermon ending of the sermon "Convicted By a Candle"
Dr. Jamal Bryant - February 2006

Two Things Not To Do In The Sermon Close

1. Do Not Use The Same Ending
One of the most pervasive sermon close problems that many preachers have is the “recycled end.” That is when the preacher always ends the sermon in exactly the same way. Perhaps there are a few ways, but the ending is not tailored to the sermon.

Some will have the exact same end with the exact same whoop or quoting the same thing. “There’s power in the name of Jesus, There’s hope in the name of Jesus….”

Some always have that “He went on the cross…He died for our sins…He rested in the grave…but EEEEAAARRRLLLLYY Sunday Morning he rose…” Some end with the exact same theme like a “relationship with Jesus” call that is not changed at all based on the sermon.

Do not use the same ending in every sermon!

2. Do Not End Without Intentionality
It is very surprising, but many preachers spend little time thinking about the ending at all. We must recognize that our ending is what people will remember when they go home. It is the ending that gives the preacher a chance to drive home the very important points in the sermon.

However, some sermons just stop. They don’t end intentionally. Even some preachers who have reputations for being effective have a number of emotionally intensive portions to the sermon, but their sermon does not seem to progress because the preacher has not put together an intentional end.

We all have heard the sermon that goes on and on because the preacher has not decided how to end the sermon. There was one preacher who couldn’t decide if he was gonna whoop or not and so the sermon just continued on as the preacher decided what to do. Great preaching is open to the Spirit, but it is also paradoxically intentional about how it starts and how it ends…

Someone said, “like meat, a great sermon makes its own gravy.” As preachers we must recognize this. We cannot take gravy from yesterday’s meal and try to serve it on today’s meat. We can’t ignore the gravy all together either. When closing our sermons we must find a fitting close for this particular sermon that is based in this particular sermon. In addition, we must intentionally move the sermon forward in the way that our Spirit led planning has suggested.

Jesus was not the only baby whose birth was foretold in the Gospels. Continuing his exposition of the book of Luke, today R.C. Sproul turns our attention to the birth of another child, the one who would prepare the way for the ministry of Christ.

Intercessory Prayer - Charles Spurgeon / Classic Reformed Baptist Christian Sermons

Spurgeon playlist: http://www.youtube.com/view_pl....ay_list?p=CDB844A911

Job 42:10

King James Version (KJV)

10 And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

C. H. Spurgeon - Baptist preacher

The descendant of several generations of Independent ministers, he was born at Kelvedon, Essex, and became a Baptist in 1850. In the same year he preached his first sermon, and in 1852 he was appointed paster of the Baptist congregation at Waterbeach. In 1854 he went to Southwark, where his sermons drew such crowds that a new church, the Metropolitan Tabernacle in Newington Causeway, had to be built for him. Apart from his preaching activites he founded a pastors' college, an orphanage, and a colportage association for the propagation of uplifting literature. Spurgeon was a strong Calvinist. He had a controversy in 1864 with the Evangelical party of the Church of England for remaining in a Church that taught Baptismal Regeneration, and also estranged considerable sections of his own community by rigid opposition to the more liberal methods of Biblical exegesis. These differences led to a rupture with the Baptist Union in 1887. He owed his fame as a preacher to his great oratorical gifts, humour, and shrewd common sense, which showed itself especially in his treatment of contemporary problems. Among his works are The Saint and his Saviour (1857), Commenting and Commentaries (1876) and numerous volumes of sermons (translated into many languages).

Charles Haddon (C.H.) Spurgeon (June 19, 1834 January 31, 1892) was a British Reformed Baptist preacher who remains highly influential among Christians of different denominations, among whom he is still known as the "Prince of Preachers." In his lifetime, Spurgeon preached to around 10,000,000 people, often up to 10 times a week at different places. His sermons have been translated into many languages. Spurgeon was the pastor of the New Park Street Chapel in London for 38 years. In 1857, he started a charity organization called Spurgeon's which now works globally. He also founded Spurgeon's College, which was named after him after his death.

Spurgeon was a prolific author of many types of works including sermons, an autobiography, a commentary, books on prayer, a devotional, a magazine, and more. Many sermons were transcribed as he spoke and were translated into many languages during his lifetime. Arguably, no other author, Christian or otherwise, has more material in print than C.H. Spurgeon.

#baptist #sbc #preaching #kjv #Fundamentalism #Fundamentalist #Bible

Your church should leave the Southern Baptist Convention. Leave the SBC. Critical race theory has infected the SBC and it's seminaries. Women Pastors and preachers like, Beth Moore, Holly Furtick (Steven Furtick's wife), Kay warren (Rick Warren's wife), Kathy Litton (Ed Litton's wife) are preaching in southern Baptist churches. The Southern Baptist Convention did not disfellowship Saddle Back Church and Rick Warren for ordaining women as Pastors. Al Mohler and other notable "conservatives" are leading from behind because they fear man. The North American Mission Board is supporting church plants with women "pastors". Kevin Ezell has been confronted yet the problem continues. Why should any church stay in the liberal and compromised Southern Baptist Convention?
