Is Ezekiel bread really healthy for you? Find out in this video. Also take a look at ingredients, nutrition facts & benefits.

Ezekiel bread is the healthiest bread you can eat. Ezekiel is a type of sprouted grain bread that is prepared using traditional methods of soaking, sprouting and baking.
It contains 4 types of cereal grains (Wheat, Millet, Barley and Spelt) and 2 types of legumes (Soybeans and Lentils). It contains no sugar, no preservatives and no artificial ingredients, unlike most other commercial breads.

Compared to breads that don’t contain sprouted grains, Ezekiel bread has more protein, fiber, and absorbable vitamins and minerals. It also contains less harmful antinutrients, and is even less concentrated with gluten.

It’s made with the following ingredients:

Organic Sprouted Wheat
Filtered Water
Organic Sprouted Barley
Organic Sprouted Millet
Organic Malted Barley
Organic Sprouted Lentils
Organic Sprouted Soybeans
Organic Sprouted Spelt
Fresh Yeast
Organic Wheat Gluten
Sea Salt

One slice of Ezekiel 4:9 Sprouted Whole Grain loaf has:

- 80 calories
- 4 grams of protein
- 0.5 grams of total fat
- 3 grams of fiber
- 75 mg of sodium
- 15 grams of carbohydrates

All of the grains and legumes found in Ezekiel bread are sprouted. This simply means that the natural process of sprouting was mimicked, leading to a ton more nutrients and healthful benefits.

Sprouted grains and legumes are much lower in gluten, and easier to digest. Sprouting breaks down enzyme inhibitors, so your body can more easily absorb calcium, magnesium, iron, copper and zinc. Sprouting produces vitamin C and increases the vitamin B2, B5 & B6.

Ezekiel bread is great source of complete protein (comparable to that of milk or eggs). It contains 18 amino acids - Including all 9 essential amino acids. Combining sprouted grains and legumes gives a good amount of natural fiber in each serving. Thanks to high fiber content Ezekiel bread can help lower cholesterol.

Soybeans found in Ezekiel are organic, unlike in most other products. Ezekiel bread is vegan friendly. It doesn’t contain a trace of eggs, butter, or milk. It’s great way for vegans to meet their daily quotas for iron, calcium, and protein. Ezekiel bread is low-glycemic, so diabetics can enjoy a slice without the dreaded sugar spike. This loaf can lower blood sugar levels, reduce spikes, reduce weight and risk of heart disease, and can help control type I and II diabetes, hypoglycemia, and hypertension.

At the end of the day, Ezekiel bread is still bread. It’s not gluten free and sprouting won't eliminate negative health effects of eating wheat. But still, Ezekiel is a healthier choice than 99% of the other breads.
