Fingerpick Like A Worship Leader ---- With Only 3 Fingers! [EASY]

In this video I show you how to fingerpick like many of the worship leaders you see. The next time you watch a video for a song that is either entirely played with fingerpicking or has parts of the song wherein fingerpicking is highlighted and showcased, watch how active the worship leader's thumb is. The thumb almost doubles as the fourth 'picking finger'. It is 'assigned' to three different strings: the low E string, A string, and D string. The Pointer finger is 'assigned' to the G string. And the middle finger is 'assigned' to the B string. There is usually very little movement of the 'picking fingers' (thumb, pointer, and middle finger) and the actual hand resting on the guitar and strings with this method (one of the benefits -- it keeps your 'picking fingers' relatively in the same place and position). This minimizes unnecessary finger and hand movements which can result in you taking your hand and 'picking fingers' entirely off the strings in between chord changes. It makes fingerpicking extremely easy and efficient, but also very pretty and pleasant sounding.

Note: As mentioned in the lesson, this isn't the 'only' or 'best' way to fingerpick. However, I would argue that it's 'one' of the most easy ways to fingerpick for worship music and this specific genre. Also, a lot of ' ' in the description above, sorry about that :)
